Vallarpadam is one of the islands in Cochin (Kochy), sorrounded by vembanad Lake. Goshree Bridges connects Vallarpadam to Ernakulam City. Kochi International Container Transhipment Terminal is situated at Vallarpadam. This Terminal is operated by dubai ports International. After 30 years the control will be handedover to Cochin Ports. After completing the Third phase project, this port will have a capacity of 4million TEU of Cargo per year.
