Mullaperiyar Dam is a masonry gravity dam on the Periyar River It is located 881 m (2,890 ft) above mean ocean level on the Cardamom Hills of the Western Ghats in Thekkady, Idukki District of Kerala, South India. It was constructed between 1887 and 1895 by the British Government to divert water eastwards to Tamil Nadu. It has a height of 53.6 m (176 ft) from the foundation and length of 365.7 m (1,200 ft). The Periyar National Park in Thekkady is located around the dam's reservoir

Great photos!!! Looking at these pics tells a story! it would be VERY ignorant of the goverment there NOT to do anything about this dam! its also VERY clear in the very near future this dam WILL fail! the concrete is saturated most of the way through the dam, the signs are there to awareness of the goverments is NOT!

Dear Viewer Please see the "V" notch you can find one bulb over there in the tunnel "the same photo" please see again you can't find any water flowing on the "V" notch, you'll find just algae, here only the seepage water is measured at this notch. Now you can realise The dam is performing well.
